Aloha Athletics was crafted from a genuine desire to empower paddlers of all levels. We recognize that there are a plethora of valuable resources and coaches around the world who use their expertise to train others, but beginning with the Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis, we saw the need for additional programming and instruction using our unique experience to provide to those who seek it!
Training for races such as The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis (an 80 mile race across the ocean from the Bahamas to Florida), Chattajack, and Last Paddler Standing (a 3.3 mile endless loop endurance race until no one is left standing), among others, we have both have found ourselves in the position of seeking guidance for questions such as
.. and so many more!
Having navigated these questions we wanted to share our knowledge base with other paddlers so that they can be prepared and empowered to tackle and achieve their goals. Having competed in a wide array of races from shorter sprints to longer races we bring a unique and diversified perspective. In 2021, Casey was crowned the overall winner of The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis and took 2nd place female at Chattajack in 2023. In 2022, Lindsey became an Iron Crusader in the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis and holds the female record of 48 laps/hours at Last Paddler Standing.
Aloha Athletics isn’t just a training platform, it’s a community. We grew our friendship on the water training and we know first hand how the water and the sport can bring people together. At Aloha Athletics you will find informative blog posts, community paddle meetups, training plans, and more.
Central to the essence of Aloha Athletics is the spirit of aloha, a guiding force that infuses our community with warmth, inclusivity, and a genuine love for paddling. Rooted in Hawaiian culture, the spirit of aloha extends beyond a simple greeting; it’s a way of life that embraces kindness, unity, and the interconnectedness of all things. At Aloha Athletics, the spirit of aloha is not just a phrase β it’s the heartbeat of our community, shaping every interaction, every paddle stroke, and every shared moment on the water. No matter where you are on your paddling journey you will feel this spirit when training with Aloha Athletics.
Our holistic approach to training goes beyond the water to encompass mindset training, yoga, cross training, and more. Integrated seamlessly into our training plans is the essence of aloha β fostering a sense of connection, respect for the water, and a commitment to helping each paddler find success. It’s about finding harmony with nature, oneself, and fellow paddlers, creating an environment where everyone is not just welcome but embraced.
As you train with Aloha Athletics, you’re joining a community where the spirit of aloha permeates every aspect. It’s an invitation to paddle with purpose, embrace waves with joy, and experience stand-up paddling not just as a sport but as a way to connect with yourself and others.
